How to use the Team Challenge

  1. 1. The challenge team. This page always shows a seeded 6-Pokémon squad — everyone who opens the same link sees the exact same lineup (that's the "challenge").
  2. 2. Roll yours. Tap Roll my team to generate your own 6-Pokémon squad — one roll per challenge, so no retrying until you win.
  3. 3. Compare. Both teams are shown with their total base stats (BST) — the higher total wins, and ties are possible.
  4. 4. Share. Challenge a friend copies a link with the same challenge team, so a friend gets the identical lineup to try to beat.
  5. 5. Export the result. Share the result card or Download card creates an image of the matchup (with a QR code) — great for posting in your community.
  6. 6. Start your own. Start your own challenge makes you the host — you re-roll the challenge team and share it with a friend, instead of rolling against your own squad again.

Why challenge a friend?

Team Challenge turns a random roll into a scoreboard. The page generates a seeded squad, you share the link, and everyone who opens it faces the exact same team — total BST crowns the winner.

Ways to play

Friend duel

Share the challenge link in your group chat — everyone rolls their own answer to the same squad, highest BST takes the round.

Stream segment

Roll a challenge team live and let chat try to beat it — the link keeps everyone honest because the squad can't change.

Solo benchmark

Beat your own rolls: keep the challenge team fixed and re-roll your side until you top its BST with a squad you'd actually use.

Draft night decider

Use a challenge round to settle who picks first — no arguments, the numbers are on the page.

Set your rules before you roll

Decide the format before sharing: one roll each, or best of three? The seed means the challenge itself is fixed — the only variable is what you roll against it.

BST decides the winner here, but house rules can override: mono-type answers only, no legendaries in your response, or 'lowest BST wins' for a chaos round.

Export both sides to Showdown afterwards if you want the real answer — BST is a scoreboard, not a battle result.

A sample challenge

The challenge rolls Blissey, Shedinja, Magikarp, Regidrago, Applin and Salamence — a monster total carried by three real Pokémon and three jokes. Beat it with six mid-tiers and you've earned the bragging rights; lose to it and you'll hear about Magikarp all week.
