Why test your Pokédex memory?
The guess challenge is the purest test of Pokédex knowledge: a fixed lineup, hints that shrink with the difficulty, and your score at the end. Same seed for everyone — so scores are genuinely comparable.

Daily duel
Share the seed with a friend and compare scores — same lineup, no excuses.
Difficulty ladder
Start on Easy with generous hints, then climb towards Extreme, where the sprites are zoomed and the hints are gone.
Filter gauntlet
Lock a single generation or type and prove you actually know that slice of the dex — not just the famous bits.
Party quiz
Read the cards aloud on a call and race to shout the answer — speed counts.
Set your rules before you roll
Pick count and difficulty before the first reveal — twelve on Easy and six on Extreme are completely different exams.
No mid-run filter changes: a mono-Water round and an all-dex round measure different knowledge.
One attempt per seed is the honest format — the seed keeps the lineup fixed, so a second try is just memorization.

How does Guess the Pokémon work?
A set of hidden Pokémon are shown as silhouettes. Lock in your guesses, then flip the cards to reveal the answers — your score is based on how many you named correctly.
What do difficulty levels change?
Easy gives bigger sprites and a type hint per card; Extreme zooms in, drops the hints and limits the lineup. Same seed, same lineup, harder exam.
Can I challenge a friend?
Yes — the share link carries the seed, so opening it recreates the exact same lineup. Compare scores and settle who knows the dex better.
Where do the silhouettes come from?
Official Pokémon artwork and sprites, converted to silhouettes on the fly. Everything runs in your browser — no downloads, no sign-up.
